- Desktop Tools/QuickNote Features:

- - Quick notepad for putting down reminders, task lists
- - QuickNote can rollup so other people don't see your notes
- - QuickNote is "sticky" -- it remembers its window location
- - QuickNote automatically saves the text when you logout/shutdown
- - support up to 8 pages of notes
- - If you are a network user, the notes are saved under your user name.

- Intel 386 or higher, Windows NT 3.51 or later, or Windows 95 or later, mouse
- (Win32s is not supported.)

- Due to limitations in Win95, you can open a text file up to approximately 32K in size.

- File size is limited only to available memory.

- Special Install Instructions for users of previous QuickNote who are network users:
-
- If you need to login to enter Windows 95, then your notes will be saved under your user
- name in QuickNote directory. (e.g. For user jsmith, his note is saved under this dir:
- c:\Program Files\DeskTop Tools\QuickNote\jsmith). When you first upgrade QuickNote,
- your notes will not show up. Follow the following instructions to have your notes
- showed up again:

- 1. Run QuickNote and then exit QuickNote.
- 2. Open Windows Explorer.
- 3. Goto QuickNote Directory. (e.g. c:\Program Files\DeskTop Tools\QuickNote)
- 4. Select all text files beginning with default, i.e. default.txt, default2.txt, etc.
- 5. Move these files to the directory with your user name under your QuickNote directory.
- 6. Run QuickNote again and the notes should show up.

- 1. Unzip the install files to a temporary directory.
- 2. Run Setup.exe program from Windows Explorer.
- 3. Follow instructions.

- Instructions on Use:

- 1. Place the QuickNote icon in the StartUp folder so it starts automatically
- when you start Windows.
- 2. Place QuickNote window to the desired position.
- 3. Type in notes/reminder into the edit control. Use previous page and
- next page toolbar button to navigate through pages. Page number is
- displayed in the window caption.
